Rudi’s Gluten-Free Cherry Almond Bars

As gluten-free eaters constantly on the move, we’re always looking for healthy, filling gluten-free snacks to add to our arsenal. Sugary snacks are fun and delicious, but protein- and fiber-packed travel snacks can be tough to find. We were so excited to sample Rudi’s Gluten-Free Cherry Almond bars at the Gluten-Free Living Conference in Orlando this past spring, and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about them since!

Like most gluten-free eaters, we’ve tried dozens of granola bars and found many of them lacking. With three grams of protein and two grams of fiber, Rudi’s Gluten-Free Cherry Almond Bars definitely hit the spot! These bars are made with plenty of whole ingredients, including oats, almond butter, a gluten-free flour blend (cornstarch, sorghum flour, sweet rice flour, potato starch, and potato flour), almonds, brown rice syrup, dried cherries and cranberries, brown rice, flaxseed, natural almond flavor, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Unlike many other granola bars, these are not overwhelmingly sugary, and instead strike just the right balance of sweet and healthy. We love the chewy texture, the slight crunch of the almonds, and the nice tartness of the cherries and cranberries. The almond butter and flaxseed make these a really satisfying snack that’s perfect any time of day. And really, it’s never a bad time to snack on these bars, whether it’s breakfast, mid-afternoon, or dessert!

Rudi’s Gluten-Free Cherry Almond Bars are sold in packs of seven in a sturdy (recyclable!) plastic package. Pro tip: your travel companions are definitely going to raid your snack stash once they try these, so be sure to pack extras!
